  • Miguel Morales decided to offer his home made wines to public and in 2017 he established his winery. This is his first wine blending both of his grown white grape varieties: Diego and the famous Volcanic Malvasia, equal parts of each. Diego is slightly less aromatic yet has higher acidity thus helps to make a long lasting wine, while Malvasia is a very fragrant variety which provides all those lovely aromas in the glass.

Diego comes from a tiny 0.45 Ha plot, the vineyard is located within the area of Timanfaya National Park, average vine age is 60 years (some are well over 100 years old), planted in typical round pits hand dug in the volcanic ash sand, 250 meters above sea level.

Malvasia comes from another nearby location called La Vegueta in the famous area called La Geria, the plot is of 0.22 Ha, and the vines are planted in a modern straight ditches, dug in the volcanic soil and protected from the winds by volcanic stone walls. This vineyard is younger and is 30 years old.

Manual harvest (it is impossible to use any machinery in the vineyard), maceration on the skins for 12 hours, manual press, fermentation with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks and further aging on the lees for 10 months.

Total production was of 760 bottles, and for the time being it is the only vintage because in 2018 the vinyeard of Malvasia was fruitful for harvesting.
