  • Miguel Morales decided to offer his home made wines to public and in 2017 he established his winery. This is his first offically sold white wine made with the local variety, called Diego in Lanzarote Island, and also known as Vijariego in other Canary Islands or mainland Spain. It is a rather uncommon grape remaining in the shadow of the most famous Volcanic Malvasia, nevertheless it has a great potential for world class wine making.

The vineyard is located within the area of Timanfaya National Park, average vine age is 60 years (some are well over 100 years old), planted in typical round pits hand dug out in the volcanic ash sand, 250 meters above sea level. Manual harvest (it is impossible to use any machinery in the vineyard), maceration on the skins for 12 hours, manual press, fermentation with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks and further aging on the lees for 10 months.

1500 bottles were filled, this wine has a fantastic improvement in bottle, it is delicious and showing its complex notes.
