The grape variety Merseguera, native to the region of Valencia, is grown in the sub-region of Alto Turia, and comes from a single 35 year old vineyard, that is only 0,45 ha and has sandstone soils (compounds of white calcareous clay over sandstone bed rock). Biodynamic and dry farming since 2015.
The 2016 vintage in this area was dry and hot, and the grapes were small but healthy. Harvested on 16th of October, whole bunch pressed, fermented with native yeasts, with temperature control, with later aging in stainless steel tank on lees. 930 bottles made.
Natural winemaking without added sulphites, the label shows the picture of the soils.
