A rather uncommon red wine from Austria made with Pinot Noir
Warning: Last items in stock!
Michael Wenzel grows several plots of red grapes, and not only the local famous Blaufränkisch, Zweigelt or St. Laurent, but also the famous French Pinot Noir.
This vintage (2017) Ruster is in a great shapoe now, vivid with loads of fruity notes yet it shows a rustic character with some forest and moss notes. It is a very elegant and age worthy wine.
The grapes come from a plot nearby the village Rust, called the Little Forest (Kleiner Wald), the soils are mainly marl and limestone with some marine fossils pictured on the label.
A delicious low intervention Austrian red wine!
